Replacing the Portlock Storage Manager Evaluation License in the Portlock Boot CD for NetWare, version 5.0
Note: This document applies to versions 5.0 BETA through version 5.01. Learn how to install the Portlock Storage Manager license on the most recent version of the Portlock Boot CD for NetWare.
Currently licensed Portlock Storage Manager users need to install their license file to unlock the full capability of Portlock Storage Manager. Activate Portlock Storage Manager by performing the following procedure:
Locate the stormgr.lic file in the email you received after purchasing Portlock Storage Manager
- Copy the stormgr.lic file to a removable disk
- Boot a system with the Portlock Boot CD for NetWare
- Insert the removable disk into the system that is running the Portlock Boot CD for NetWare
- Open Portlock Drive Explorer from the Welcome screen or from the Storage section
- Select your removable disk from the left pane of Portlock Drive Explorer
- Right-click on the stormgr.lic file located in the right pane of Portlock Drive Explorer
- Select Copy
- Select the X:\ (Boot) drive from the left side of Portlock Drive Explorer
- Select the [REMOVEABLE] drive from the left pane of Portlock Drive Explorer
- Right-click on the stormgr.lic file and select Copy
- Navigate to X:\Program Files\Portlock\
- Right-click on the Storage Manager directory
- Select Paste
Note: The license file may also be installed by using Portlock Drive Map.
