How do I purchase your products?

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes we do.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes, from all public schools, universities and recognized public companies.

We do not accept purchase orders from outside the United States.

Please include the following information on your purchase order:

  • Email address. The license for our products is emailed.
  • Telephone and Fax numbers for Accounts Payable. Some purchase orders do not include this information.
  • Fax and Mail the purchase order.

Do you accept wire transfers?

Yes, submit a request for wire transfer via fax or email.  Include company name, address, phone, fax, contact person, and email address to which you wish to have the license(s) sent.  Specify which product and how many licenses you would like to purchase. Then FAX your request to 406-723-5205.

Upon confirmation of the wire transfer, your license(s) will be issued electronically to the email address of your choice. 

Do you have educational discounts?

Pricing for our products is the same for all customers. 

What is your upgrade policy?

100 percent of the purchase price will be applied to the next licensing level within the first 30 days of purchase. For example, you have purchased a single server license ($195.00) and you now want to upgrade to a five server license ($875.00). The price that you paid for the single server license will be applied to the purchase price of the five server version. ($875.00 - $195.00 = $680.00). *** Portlock Volume Defrag example.

Do you have a money back guarantee?

Yes, we have a money back guarantee within the first 30 days of purchase if our software does not work correctly on your system within the limitations documented in the readme and history text files.

Refund requests for data recovery will not be accepted as we can not guarantee data recovery.

If you report an issue with our software, we will extend the money back guarantee until you have had a chance to verify the update.

Do you charge for updates?

When you purchase any Portlock product, you receive one year of free product updates and technical support. After one year you may purchase a renewal license which gives you an additional year of free upgrades and technical support. 

The Portlock renewal program is designed to reward the customers who keep their licenses current and up-to-date.

Portlock Storage Manager License Renewal Pricing

Level 1
If the renewal is purchased within 90 days of the maintenance expiration, the cost to renew your product license is $199.00 USD.

Level 2
If your product license expiration date is greater than 90 days, the cost to renew your product license is $299.00. If your product license expiration date is greater than 12 months, a new license must be purchased at full retail cost.

Portlock Scorpion License Renewal Pricing

Level 1
If the renewal is purchased within 90 days of the maintenance expiration, the cost to renew your product license is currently $125.00 USD.

Level 2
If your product license expiration date is greater than 90 days, the cost to renew your product license is $250.00. If your product license expiration date is greater than 12 months, a new license must be purchased at full retail cost.

Portlock Storage Suite License Renewal Pricing

Level 1
If the renewal is purchased within 90 days of the maintenance expiration, the cost to renew your product license is $235.00 USD.

Level 2
If your product license expiration date is greater than 90 days, the cost to renew your product license is $335.00. If your product license expiration date is greater than 12 months, a new license must be purchased at full retail cost. The evaluation version only supports NetWare volumes up to 1,000 MB. Do you have an evaluation version for larger volumes?

No. The evaluation version is provided so that customers can try our product and verify that our products work well for them. If you need a version that provides support for any size volume, purchase a single server version for testing. You may request a refund for any reason if you are dissatisfied.

Often we have beta versions of our product available on our web site for download. Betas do not have any size restrictions.

Does the evaluation version timeout?

Yes. However, after the timeout, you can download an updated copy.

Does your software send hidden data packets over the Internet?

No.
